1st A220-300 for Air Austral painted

Airbus has released a picture of the first painted A220-300 for Air Austral. The aircraft, c/n 55106 is featuring an active vulcano on its tail.

Air Austral signed for three A220-300s on 13 October 2019, which will join the airline's fleet of one ATR72-500, two B737-800s, three B777-300ERs and two B787-8s. Delivery of the first A220 is expected to occur in the coming months. Originally, this was planned in the last quarter of 2020, but has been delayed due to the Corona-pandemic.
