B738M Icelandair 6401st aircraft in new Icelandair-livery

On 28 January, Icelandair took delivery of its first aircraft in the new livery. The aircraft in question is B737-8 TF-ICE (44353), which arrived at Reykjavik after being repainted at Norwich. On 29 January, it is scheduled for its first commercial flight to Tenerife.

The airline is planning to have five MAXs repainted by the end of February, all with a different tail colour. The rest of the fleet will be repainted according to the maintenance schedule of the aircraft.

In total, Icelandair's new livery will consist of five different tail colours; boreal blue, magenta, sky blue, yellow and green. TF-ICE is wearing the sky blue tail. According to the airline, the different colours are representing different phenomena in Icelandic nature. By adding the colours, Icelandair wants to bring the "vibrant Icelandic spirit to the world".
