Aer Lingus takes delivery of 1st A320neos

Aer Lingus has, officially, taken delivery of its first two Airbus A320neos. The first two aircraft are EI-NSA (10712), delivered on 22 September, and EI-NSB (10786) which was delivered on 26 September 2022. On 28 September 2022, the airline launched commercial operations, with EI-NSA being deployed on the Dublin-London Heathrow route.

Both aircraft were originally destined for Smartavia from Russia and are leased via CDB Leasing. The duo will replace two older A320s in the fleet in the coming months and Aer Lingus plans to gradually replace its A320s with more A320neos in the coming years.

Today, the airline's fleet consists of 31 A320s, seven A321-200NXs, three A330-200s and eleven A330-300s.
