Aeroitalia leases B737MAXs

Aeroitalia has signed a lease-agreement with Air Lease Corporation for the leases of B737MAXs. In total, the deal is for the lease of three B737-8s, which are all coming from ALC's current orderbook with Boeing. The aircraft will be delivered in 2023 and 2024.

Today, the fleet of the airline consists of three B737-800s, with two additional ones on the way. Aeroitalia launched flights in May 2022, first with charter-flights and Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance, or ACMI-services and later also with scheduled destinations. Currently, the airline serves various domestic scheduled flights as well as two international destinations in Romania (Bacau) and the UK (London-Heathrow).

Aeroitalia is planning to grow its fleet to fifteen B737s and ten B787s by 2025, aiming to become a strong competitor to ITA Airways.
