Aerus signs LoI for Eviation Alice
Aerus, the new Mexican regional start-up, has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Eviation Aircraft for 30 Alice commuter aircraft. The airline is planning to use the all-electric aircraft on regional domestic flights out of its base at Monterey. It's the second order for Aerus in a short period, as the company placed an order with Cessna in December.
The Eviation Alice is an all-electric aircraft that can carry up to nine passengers over a distance of 463 kilometers. A freighter version is also being developed. It took to the skies for the first time on 27 September 2022. Eviation hopes to deliver the first aircraft to customers in 2027 from its base at Arlington (WA).
Next to Aerus, the Alice has been comitted to by Air New Zealand (23), Cape Air (75), DHL Express (twelve), EVIA Aero (25), and GlobalX Airlines (50).
