Air Canada has announced it's bringing back the Boeing B767-300ER for passenger service in 2025. It's doing this to cover for the delayed delivery of new aircraft and expects the aircraft to be in service for a bit over one year.
The airline is bringing back two B767s, both of which are still owned by the airline. The aircraft involved are C-FOCA (24575) and C-GLCA (25120), which are currently being readied at Hamilton. They were phased-out in March and June 2020 and have been in storage since then.
Over the years, Air Canada has operated 65 different B767-airframes; 23 B767-200s and 42 B767-300ERs. Today, it's flying cargo with six B767-300ERBDSFs.
