Air Djibouti B737-500 suffers landing gear collapse
Air Djibouti flight IV206 suffered from a collapsed right-hand main landing gear while landing at Garowe in Somalia on 2 December. The flight was operated by B737-500 EY-560 (26538) which the airline wet-leases from Tajikistan-based Asia Sky Lines. According to the reports there were no injuries amongst the 44 people on board, but the aircraft sustained quite some damage. The airport was immediately closed after the incident.
The flight had left Djibouti at 07:12 bound for Mogadishu, but with stops planned at Hargeisa and Garowe. It safely landed at Hargeisa at 07:43 and departed for Garowe at 08:35.
According to our sources, this B737-500 was the sole aircraft in the airline's fleet at this moment.
