On 24 July, ATR announced it has signed a deal with Air Tahiti in which the airline is ordering additional ATRs. In total, Air Tahiti has ordered four ATR72-600s. The new aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between 2025 and 2028.
Air Tahiti will use its new ATRs to grow its fleet, which is currently made-up of two ATR42-600s and nine ATR72-600s. It also has a single DHC-6 in the fleet.
The airline also holds open orders for two ATR42-600S, the Short Take Off and Landing (STOL) version. These are expected to be delivered next year and will replace its current two ATR42s.
