airBaltic firms A220-options into firm orders

On the first day of the Dubai Air Show 2023, on 13 November, Airbus announced that airBaltic has decided to firm options on the Airbus A220-300 into firm orders. In total, the deal is for 30 additional aircraft, as well as for 20 new options.

With this latest order, airBaltic has now placed firm orders for 80 A220-300s, making it the largest European customer for the Airbus-product. The order also fits in the airline's ambitious plans to have a fleet of 100 aircraft by 2030.

Today, airBaltic operates a fleet of 44 A220-300s, of which the first one was delivered in November 2016.
