Airbus delivers 1st A220 to JetBlue

On 31 December, Airbus delivered the first A220-300 to JetBlue. The aircraft, which was assembled at Airbus' US-plant in Mobile (AL) and registered N3008J (55099) was flown to New York-JFK (NY) on the same day.

The aircraft is the first of 70 ordered A220s, which will replace the airline's 60 ERJ190s. JetBlue ordered their A220s in two batches. On 31 December 2018 it placed an order for 60, with the order for the additional ten noted down in the books on 20 June 2019.
