On 12 December, Airbus announced that Aircalin has selected the Airbus A350 to expand its longhaul-fleet with. According to the manufacturer's press-release, the airline has ordered two A350-900s. No delivery timeline has been communicated and the duo is most likely the ones Airbus booked under an undisclosed customer in February of this year.
Aircalin is planning to utilise its new widebodies on its recently opened Noumea-Bangkok-Paris route as well as for other new destinations.
Currently, the airline's fleet is made up of two A320neos and two A330-900s.
