Alaska Air Group signs for more E175s

During the Farnborough Air Show, Embraer announced that it has won an order from the Alaska Air Group for eight additional E175s. The deal also includes options on thirteen additional aircraft. Deliveries will run from the third quarter of 2023 until 2027 and the planes will be operated by Alaska's Horizon Air-subsidiary.

With this latest order, the total number of E175s ordered by the Alaska Air Group is 50. The airline will use the additional aircraft to replace its fleet of 31 DHC-8-400s, ensuring a smooth transition to an all jet-fleet by 2026-2027.
