Alaska Airlines to add B737-800BCFs

On 11 November 2022, Alaska Airlines has announced it has selected Boeing to convert two of its B737-800s into freighters for the airline. Conversion is to begin in 2023 and to be completed in 2024.

Alaska Airlines already operates three B737-700BDSFs and as the B737-800BCF can carry up to 40% more cargo, the airline is effectively doubling its dedicated cargo-capacity. All freighters will mainly be deployed within Alaska.
