American does a bit of shopping
American Airlines has done a bit of aircraft shopping. With Embraer, the company ordered four Embraer ERJ175s for its Envoy Air-subdidiary, that will operate the aircraft for American Eagle. Deliveries are planned for end 2024 and will bring the total fleet of ERJ175s with Envoy to well past 150.
The airline has also announced it has reached an agreement with Alaska Airlines for the acquisition of ten Airbus A321neos. As we reported, Alaska Airlines retired the type late last month. The first A321neo will be delivered to American before the end of this year. It already operates 70 A321neos, with an additional 54 on order with Airbus.
