Another Boeing order from Ethiopian Airlines

Boeing is on a roll during the first two days of the Dubai Air Show 2023. On 14 November, the manufacturer received a new order from Ethiopian Airlines. In total, the airline is ordering eleven B787-9s and 20 B737-8s. No delivery timeline has been communicated. Ethiopian Airlines also took options on another fifteen B787s and fifteen B737MAXs.

With this latest order, Ethiopian has outstanding orders with Boeing for 50 B737MAXs. With Airbus, the airline has open orders for two A350-900s and four A350-1000s.

Today, Ethiopian's fleet is made up of 20 A350-900s, four B737-700s, eleven B737-800s, thirteen B737-8s, three B767-300BDSFs, six B777-200LRs, four B777-300ERs, ten B777Fs, nineteen B787-8s, ten B787-9s, and 31 DHC-8-400s.
