Ariana Afghan Airlines to acquire A330s

Ariana Afghan Airlines has issued a tender in which it seeks to purchase three A330-200s, consisting of two passenger- and one freighter-aircraft. The tender was issued on 16 June 2022 and parties can bid until 8 July 2022. Delivery of the aircraft should happen at a maximum of 60 days after signing the contract and the Airbuses can't be older than 20 years.

Today, Ariana's fleet consists of two A310-300s (one stored at Kabul since 2017) and two B737-400s. It flies from Kabul to Ankara, Dubai, Herat, Istanbul, Jeddah, Kandahar, Mazar, Moscow, New Delhi and Urumchi.
