Avia Solutions Group orders B737-8s
The Avia Solutions Group, which is the world's largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) provider, has announced on 12 November 2024, it reached an agreement with Boeing for B737-8s. The deal is for 40 firm orders and 40 purchase options with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2030.
Avia Solutions Group, which was founded in 2010 in Lithuania, has thirteen airlines in its portfolio. These are AirExplore (Slovakia), Arcus Air (Germany), Ascend Airways (UK), Avion Express (Lithuania), Avion Express Brasil, Avion Express Malta, BBN Airlines Indonesia, Klasjet (Lithuania), Magma Aviation (UK), Skytrans Airlines (Australia), SmartLynx (Latvia), SmartLynx Estonia, and SmartLynx Malta.
Combined, these thirteen brands operate a fleet of 163 aircraft, which is made up of one Airbus A319, 78 A320s, ten A321s, thirteen A321Fs, one A330-300, two B737-300s, one B737-400F, three B737-500s, nineteen B737-800s, one BBJ2, ten B737-800Fs, fourteen B737-8s, three B747-400Fs, five DHC-8-100s, and two DHC-8-300s.
