Axeman versus Super Guppy

On 28 November 2020 we brought you the sad news concerning the fate of Bruntingthorpe’s Super Guppy F-BTGV.

For several years this oversized transport has been the subject of tender loving care by the people of the Super Guppy Restoration Project. But with new tenants for the airport grounds there is no longer space available for the machine.

On one of the photos by Yodi Constantinou the first signs of the airliner’s decline are visible: the outer wings sections have already been chopped of.

In the coming week the axeman will finish of what has remained of the Super Guppy. So enjoy the photos of the cockpit and cargo hold while you still can.
