Azerbaijan Airlines firms and increases Dreamliner-orders

During a ceremony at Baku on 28 April 2023, Boeing and Azerbaijan Airlines signed an order for the B787-8. The order was already announced during the Farnborough Air Show in July 2022.

Originally, the order was for four B787-8s but has now been increased to eight and was already on the order books of Boeing as an undisclosed one. The Dreamliners will be all be delivered by 2030 and will take the fleet of B787s in the airline's fleet to ten.

In April 2023, Azerbaijan Airlines also announced an order for twelve A320neo-family aircraft.
