On 12 August 2024, Azman Air announced it has suspended its operations indefinitely.
According to the Nigerian newspaper The Guardian, the airline was forced to do so as all of its Boeing B737s it uses for domestic operations are due or in for a C-check. It also cites high operating costs as a reason for the suspension.
The airline is now planning to "put its house in order" and hopes to be able to resume domestic flights. Staff has been asked to take leave without pay until it resumes flying.
Azman Air's fleet consists of one Airbus A340-600, two Boeing B737-300s, and four B737-500s.
