Bye Aerospace unveils electric 8-seater

Bye Aerospace has announced the eFlyer 800, an eight-seater bizprop featuring two electric turboprops.

The new plane will be able to fly two pilots and seven passengers over a distance of 926 km. Should the electric engines fail, the eFlyer 800 will be equipped with a full airplane parachute. The aircraft manufactuer, that currently is building the eFlyer 2 (a two-seater) and in progress with the eFlyer 4 (a four-seater), expects the certification and first delivery in a four to six year timeline.
