Cabo Verde Airlines takes delivery of MAX8

On 19 July 2023, Cabo Verde Airlines' newest member of the fleet arrived at the airline's base at Praia. The aircraft is four years old B737-8 D4-CCJ (60432), which was ferried to Praio from Victorville (CA) via Providence (RI). Previously, this MAX8 has been used by Comair (in British Airways-livery) as ZS-ZCA. It saw very brief service in South Africa as it never returned to service after the grouding of the MAX in March 2019 and has been stored at Mojave (CA) between December 2021 and February 2023.

It's the second aircraft in the fleet of Cabo Verde Airlines, which also operates a single B737-700. With the new aircraft, the airline is planning to expand its network. Currently, it's mainly operating between Cabo Verde and Lisbon.
