Camex Airlines welcomes 1st aircraft
Camex Airlines, a new cargo airline from Georgia, has taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Boeing B737-800BCF. The aircraft, currently registered 2-BPDB (33549) arrived at the airline's base at Tbilisi on 4 July after a ferry-flight from Guangzhou where it was converted. After all necessary paper-work is completed, the aircraft will be registered in Georgia and ready for commercial operations in August 2022.
The airline is planning to connect China, India, the Middle-East and Europe and make advantage of Georgia's strategic location. Three more B737-800BCFs are scheduled to join Camex Airlines this and next year. According to CH-Aviation, the start-up is also planning to add widebody-freighters like the A330 or B767 in 2023-2024.
