Cargojet cancels B777P2F-orders
Canadian cargo airline Cargojet has announced it has decided to cancel part of its eight Boeing B777-freighter conversions as a result of the expected downturn in air cargo demand.
In total, the airline will now only take delivery of four converted B777s, which it will operate for DHL.
Cargojet had secured conversion slots for four B777-300ERs with IAI, and two B777-300ER and two B777-200LRs with Mammoth Aerospace. According to various sources, the airline has cancelled the contract with IAI.
The airline, which is owned for 9,5% by DHL, is currently operating fifteen B757-200PCFs, three B767-200BDSFs, and nineteen B767-300ERBCFs/BDSFs.
