During the upcoming Zhuhai Air Show, which will be held between 12 and 17 November 2024, COMAC is set to announce a rebranding of its ARJ21. To bring it into line with its other product, the C919, the airliner will be rebranded into the C909.
A first C909 has already been spotted, which is B-099A (10156) operated by COMAC Express. It was seen at Shanghai-Pudong with the new name of the aircraft on the tail and nose.
So far, around 147 ARJ21/C909s have been built, with Air China and Chengdu Airlines being the type's largest operators. Both have a fleet of 30 each.
