Corendon leases an A350-900

Corendon has announced it will start operating its own flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao. As its fleet of B737s can't make that trip, the company will be wet-leasing an Airbus A350-900 from World2Fly. The lease is for two years and the aircraft will receive a Corendon-outfit. Flights are scheduled to commence in November 2023.

In an interview with our friends of Luchtvaartnieuws.nl, the CEO of the airline said that if these flights are succesful, it might consider ordering a widebody aircraft itself, like the Boeing 787.

Corendon Dutch Airlines is currently operating three B737-800s, which are planned to be replaced by three B737-9s in the coming year. The company is part of the Corendon Group, which also owns Corendon Airlines from Turkey, operating fourteen B737-800s, and six B737-8s, and Corendon Airlines Europe from Malta, which operates fourteen B737-800s.
