Good news from Dassault on behalf of their Falcon 6X platform. On 1 December 2021, as Canadian Transport Canada released their approval for the type certificate on the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D turbofan engine. This model is developed for the Falcon 6X and this milestone is a win, compared to the troubled Silvercrest engine that led to the cancellation of the Falcon 5X in 2017.
The Falcon 6X programme also completed their cold weather flight test evaluation!
On 24 December 2021, Dassault reported that prototype F-WAVE (msn 003) spend some time in Iqaluit (NU) for cold weather testing and those tests were successful.
The aircraft was noted on flight tracking sites returning back to Istres, France on 16 December.
If all goes according to plan a fourth Falcon 6X should be joining the test fleet, also equipped with a full cabin outfit, just like F-WAVE.
