De Havilland Canada announces refurbished DHC-8 orders
During the Farnborough Air Show, De Havilland Canada announced various DHC-8-400s-orders. It's good to note, however, that these are not new aircraft but so-called refurbished ones that the company will procure and then prepare for its customers.
The All Nippon Group has signed-up for seven additional DHC-8-400s, which are expected to be starting to be delivered from 2025 onwards. Currently, the company has 24 DHC-8-400s, which are operated by ANA Wings.
Skyward Express from Kenya has ordered a single DHC-8-400, which will join the airline's fleet of two DHC-8-100s and singel DHC-8-300.
Lastly, De Havilland Canada announced an order from Wideroe for two DHC-8-400s. The Norwegian-carrier is a large user of the DHC-8, with a fleet of 24 DHC-8-100s, three -200s, three -300s, and sixteen DHC-8-400s.
