December and year-end order update from Boeing
Joining Airbus with their year-end tally, Boeing has also released the orders, cancellations and deliveries of the final month of 2021. In December, Boeing was able to note down 80 orders, one cancellation and delivered 38 new aircraft.
Ordered were:
- 50 B737MAXs by Allegiant Air
- 4 B777Fs by Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings
- 7 B737MAXs by Southwest Airlines
- 19 B767-300Fs by UPS
Over the whole year of 2021, Boeing noted down 909 orders, more than Airbus for the first time in three years. The breakdown in aircraft types is:
