Delta orders additional A220s

Delta Air Lines didn't only shop at Boeing at this year's Farnborough Air Show but also did so with Airbus. On 19 July, both companies announced that the airline ordered twelve additional Airbus A220-300s, taking the total number of A220s ordered to 107: 45 A220-100s and 62 A220-300s.

Since its first delivery in October 2018, Delta has welcomed 56 A220s in its fleet. It is, together with Breeze Airways, the largest customer to date for the Airbus A220.
