easyJet orders more Airbuses
easyJet has announced it has entered a conditional agreement with Airbus to order additional aircraft by firming purchase options and purchase rights. In total, the airline is planning to firm orders for 56 A320neos, with a planned delivery between 2026 and 2029. easyJet also plans to convert eighteen A320neos on order into the larger A321neo with a delivery between 2024 and 2027.
The additional Airbuses will be used to replace older A319s and A320s in the fleet. With this latest order, easyJet has ordered a total of 179 A320neos and 48 A321neos. Of these, 43 A320neos and fifteen A321neos have been delivered so far. Next to the A320/A321neos, easyJet also operates 93 A319s and 173 A320s.
