EgyptAir to convert a B737 into a freighter
EgyptAir is expanding its cargo-fleet and has signed an agreement with AEI in which the airline secured the conversion slot for one B737-800SF. The airframe involved is sourced from the airline's own fleet and SU-GCP (35560). Conversion of the B737-800 is set to commence in October of this year at AEI's facility at Miami Airport (FL).
The converted Boeing will be the first narrowbody-aircraft in EgyptAir's cargo-fleet, which today consists of three A330-200P2Fs.
