El Al set to order additional Dreamliners

FlightGlobal is reporting that El Al is set to order additional Dreamliners with Boeing. According to the article, the airline plans to place a firm order for three more B787-9s and options on another six. The new aircraft are scheduled for delivery for 2029 and 2030. The six options, should they be firmed, will be for after 2030 and El Al has the flexibility to change B787-variant if needed.

Currently, the airline is operating a fleet of four B787-8s and twelve B787-9s, and already had open orders for three more -9s. Next to the Dreamliners, El Al has sixteen B737-800s, one B737-800BCF, eight B737-900ERs, and six B777-200ERs in the fleet.
