Embraer scores largest order ever

Embraer has scored its largest order ever yet. It was placed by Flexjet, one of the world's largest fractional ownership and private jet charter companies.

In total, Flexjet has placed a firm order for 182 bizjets, consisting of Phenom 300Es, Praetor 500s, and Praetor 600s. The deal also includes options on another 30 jets. No breakdown of orders per type has been provided.

Flexjet was founded by Bombardier in 1995. Since 2012, it's owned and part of Directional Aviation. It has its main base of operations in the US but also has an European subsidiary based on Malta.

The current fleet of the company is made-up of 55 Phenom 300s, 66 Praetor 500s, seventeen Praetor 600s, three Learjet 75s, 36 Challenger 300s, 60 Challenger 350s, six Bombardier Global Express XRSs, 32 Gulfstream G450s, 21 G650s. Next to the new orders with Embraer, Flexjet also has open orders with Gulfstream for the G700.
