Ethiopian Airlines launch customer for DHC-8-400F LCD

At the Farnborough Air Show on 21 July, De Havilland announced the launch customer for its DHC-8-400F LCD conversion kits. Ethiopian signed-up for two kits with options on another two. The aircraft will be sourced from Ethiopian's own fleet, which currently has 33 DHC-8-400s.

De Havilland launched three different cargo conversion solutions for the DHC-8-400 during this year's Farnborough Air Show but didn't announce a launch customer during the initial presentation.

The DHC-8-400Fs will be added to Ethiopian's growing cargo fleet, which now consists of four B737-800Fs and nine B777Fs.
