EVA Air speeds up B777F-deliveries but delays B787s

EVA Air has announced it has reached an agreement with Boeing to accelerate the delivery of its last three remaining B777Fs on order. Originally, the three were scheduled to be delivered in October 2021, December 2021 and February 2022 but are now planned to all arrive in the final quarter of this year.

The airline was seeking the acceleration as the cargo-flying business is booming and at an all time high. The three B777Fs will join the five already in the fleet.

At the same time, the airline also agreed with Boeing to defer the delivery of five B787s on order. The five were due to arrive this year but have now been deferred to 2022-2023. EVA Air has a total of four B787-9s and seven B787-10s remaining on order. It already flies four B787-9s and six B787-10s.
