FarCargo welcomes 1st aircraft

On 17 January 2024, FarCargo welcomed its first aircraft, Boeing B757-223PCF N185AN (32379). On this date the aircraft arrived at Copenhagen where it will receive some additional maintenance before becoming SE-RLE.

FarCargo is a new cargo carrier from the Faroe Islands and was established by Bakkafrost, the world's largest salmon producer and fish exporter, in 2022. Initially, the company will operate between Billund, Faroe Islands and Newark (NJ). Next to carrying fish it will also carry cargo from other customers.

Initially, the aircraft will be added to the Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) of West Air Sweden. Later, the airline plans to apply for its own AOC.
