Flybe finds a new owner
The administrators of defunct Flybe have announced that they reached an agreement with Thyme Company in which the latter will buy the remaining assests of the airline, including the brand.
According to a spokesperson of Thyme, they are planning to return to the skies in early 2021, but of course, first as a smaller carrier.
An interesting detail is that Thyme is closely related to former Flybe-owner Cyrus Capital, which owned Flybe together with Virgin Atlantic and Stobart Aviation Group.
Flybe went bankrupt in March this year after their income dropped significantly as the number of passengers declined due to the Corona-pandemic. It was the final straw for the already financial struggling carrier.
