Gulf Air appears to have cancelled its order for the A220

In Airbus' latest order-update, Gulf Air's order for ten A220-100s has been removed, which normally means the order is cancelled. It's not coming as a surprise as the airline already stated back in 2018 it was talking with Airbus about a possible cancellation.

Gulf Air placed an order for ten A220-100s back in 2011 when it was still the CS100 C-Series of Bombardier. The order was first unidentified, but Bombardier announced in 2013 that the Bahrain-based airline was the customer. Gulf Air had also taken options on another six aircraft.
