Gulfstream celebrates first flight of G800

On 28 June 2022, Gulfstream conducted the first flight of its latest product, the G800. The bizjet, N800G (msn 88001), took off from the company's site at Savannah (GA) at 09:00hrs LT and returned safely two hours later. The first flight marks the start of the flight test programme, which should be concluded next year.

The G800 is the ultra long-range version of the G650/G650ER and features redesigned wings, avionics and all-new Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines. Thanks to these modifications, the G800 will be able to fly up to 14,816 kilometres while flying Mach 0.85 or 12,064 kilometres while flying Mach 0.90. As the cabin measurements are the same as the G650, the seating capacity remains at nineteen passengers.

Gulfstream launched the G800 officially in October 2021. It hasn't communicated how many G800s have been sold so far.
