On 12 February 2025, Gulfstream Aerospace announced it has produced the last Gulfstream G650. This specific G650ER will be delivered later this year to an as yet unknown customer. It most likely concerns msn 6598, which will be outfitted at Gulfstream's facility in Appleton (WI).
The first G650 flew on 25 November 2009 and has seen a production run of nearly 600 units. The second prototype, N652GD (msn 6002) crashed during a testflight on 2 April 2011. Apart from this crash, the G650 has enjoyed an immaculate safety record, with no other write-offs recorded as of yet.
The G650 will be replaced in the Gulfstream lineup by the G800, which shares the G650 fuselage and features the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engine, which is a derivative of the BR725 engines on the G650.
