Swedish company Heart Aerospace has unveiled their all-electric aircraft earlier this week. The plane, called ES-19, is scheduled to be ready for commercial operations in 2026.
The ES-19 will be a 19-seater aircraft that's able to fly up to 400 km. As it's engines will be electric it will have no emissions and be quieter than normal engined aircraft. It can operate out of runways as short as 750 m and will have a top speed of 215 knots.
According to Heart eight airlines have signed LOIs for up to 147 ES-19s. These include SAS, Wideroe, Braathens and Air Greenland.
