IAG again orders A320neo-aircraft

On 28 July, IAG announced that it, again, ordered additional A320neo-family aircraft at Airbus. The airline holding group firmed options on twelve aircraft and also ordered 25 additional aircraft. Next to these firm 37 orders, IAG also secured options on another 50 A320neo-family aircraft. It will decide at a later stage which variant will be procured and for which airline in the group.

The deal with Airbus is already the third order for A320neo-family aircraft by IAG this year. Earlier, it ordered eight and just last month it announced orders for fourteen A320neo-family aircraft. In total IAG now has 102 firm open orders with Airbus for the A320neo-family. It also has firm orders with Boeing for 50 B737MAXs.
