Ibom Air welcomes first A220

On 25 November 2023, Ibom Air took delivery of its first Airbus A220. The aircraft, A220-300 5N-CDA (55250), was handed-over during a special ceremony at the Airbus-plant at Mirabel near Montréal, Canada. It's the first of ten A220s the airline ordered during the Dubai Air Show in November 2021.

It's not the first encounter of the airline with the type, as it wet-leased two A220-300s from EgyptAir for a year between June 2021 and August 2022. Ibom's fleet further consists of five CRJ900s, as well as two wet-leased A320s from Airhub and GetJet.
