Icelandair orders more MAXs

Icelandair has announced it has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Boeing for four additional B737MAXs. The aircraft involved are white tail aircraft, meaning they were originally manufactured for an airline customer but the deal fell through. As the four have been produced in 2018, Boeing will be able to deliver the four aircraft in the last quarter of this year.

The LoI doesn't mention the exact type of MAX but they will bring the total number of MAXs in the fleet at the end of this year to eighteen. Today, Icelandair has eight B737-8s and four B737-9s in use.
