Icelandair takes delivery of 1st B767-300F
On 29 November 2022, Icelandair took delivery of its first of two Boeing B767-300ERBCFs. The aircraft, TF-ISH (28883) was ferried from Shannon to Reykjavik on this date where it will receive its final preparations before entry into commercial service.
Icelandair announced in March 2021 that it planned to add the two dedicated cargo-aircraft via Titan Aviation Holdings. Originally, the plan was to have two of its own passenger B767-300ERs converted but this was scrapped in favor of one coming from the fleet and the other from a different source. Before conversion, TF-ISH was operated lastly by TUI as G-OBYH.
The next B767-300ERBCF is TF-ISP (26971), which is currently temporary registered as N2697L and is undergoing surgery into a freighter at Singapore-Seletar since May of this year.
After that delivery, Icelandair dedicated cargo-fleet will consist of two B757-200PCF/PFs and the two B767-300ERBCFs, although the B757s are slated for retirement in 2023 and 2024.
