Iraqi Airways receives 1st A220

Iraqi Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A220. The aircraft, A220-300 YI-ARE (55136) left the Airbus-plant at Mirabel near Montreal on 6 January and flew non-stop to Manchester in the UK for fuel and some rest for the crew. It's due to fly on to Baghdad on 9 January.

It's the first of five A220-300s the airline has ordered. Iraqi Airways' A220s will seat up to 132 passengers, twelve in business class and the remainder in economy.
