Irkut signs 3 deals for SSJs
During MAKS2021, Irkut has signed three deals for its Sukhoi SuperJets.
Red Wings signed a Letter of Intent to acquire 25 additional SSJ100/95Bs. The extra SSJs will be a combination of used and new aircraft and deliveries are set to begin this year and run until end next year. The airline, which is owned by Ilyushin Finance, a subsidiary of manufacturer UAC, already operates eight SSJs. It also has four A320s, eleven A321s, two B777-200ERs and one Tu-204 in its fleet.
Another LoI was signed by Aurora Airlines, this time for eight SSJ100/95Bs. The airline will lease the aircraft via lessor GTLK and deliveries are expected to take place between 2022 and 2024.
Lastly, Rossiya Airlines has committed to fifteen additional SSJ100/95Bs. These aircraft will be arriving before the end of this year, with the first three in August. Rossiya is currently in the process of taking on the 49-aircraft strong SSJ-fleet of Aeroflot and has so far taken delivery of 33 of them.
