JAL announces new Dreamliner-order
On the first day of the 2024 Farnborough Air Show, Boeing announced it has received a new order for Dreamliners from Japan Airlines. In total the deal is for ten B787-9s with options on another ten.
Today, JAL is already a large B787-operator, with having 23 B787-8s and 22 B787-9s in the fleet. Next to the new Dreamliners, the airline also has open orders with Boeing for 21 B737-8s.
No delivery timeline has been communicated when the new B787s are set to be delivered.
