Slowly, but surely the production and deliveries of the Bombardier Global 7500 is picking-up steam and the long-range bizjet can be spotted more and more. An airport where you, ofcourse, expect them to see is Montreal-Trudeau International where the aircraft interior completion is being done. On 17 March, this Global 7500, still wearing test-registration C-GNJY (70058) was spotted coming back after a testflight. The aircraft is destined for VistaJet and will become 9H-VIC once delivered. In total the private jet charter company signed a deal with Bombardier for up to thirty Global 7500s, of which two have so far been delivered.
The Global 7500 was launched in October 2010 (then still as the Global 7000). Due to a newly designed wing, the project was delayed for two years, resulting in a first flight on 4 November 2016. The 7500 features a lengthened fuselage of 3,43 compared to the original Global Express, which made it possible to fit in a four-zone cabin as it has 20% more floorspace available. It also has an improved and redesigned wing as well as new GE Passport 20-engines. Thanks to all the improvements, the Global 7500 can fly up to 19 passengers over a distance of 14,260 km.
Although Bombardier doesn't give insights about the number of orders for their bizjets, industry experts estimate that the 7500 has, so far, accumulated around 300 orders, including the thirty from VistaJet and at least twenty from NetJets.
